In it's most typical form, house music is characterized by repetitive 4/4 rhythms including: base drums; off beat high hats; snare drums; and or claps at tempo between 110 and 130 beats per minute (Bpm); synthesizer riffs; deep baselines; and often, but not necessarily, sung, spoken or sampled vocals.
