89 FM A Rádio Rock

While most Brazilian commercial radio dials prioritize sertanejo and pop hits, a dedicated rock outlet presents a rare alternative in the country's urban centers. Transmissions reach the metropolitan dial of São Paulo on 89.1 FM and the federal capital Brasília on 100.5 FM. The station's history dates back to December 2, 1985, when it replaced Pool FM to introduce commercial rock formats to local audiences.

Musical curation balances classic hard rock legends such as Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin with contemporary alternative acts including Tool and Queens of the Stone Age, alongside domestic Brazilian rock. Daily early morning programming features "Na Madruga 89", airing weekdays between 4:00 and 7:00 to deliver high-energy tracks and artist interviews.
