Hitradio Ö3

Contemporary pop charts and rapid-response traffic updates anchor the daily output across Austria's densest terrestrial transmission grid. More than 259 local relay towers push signal coverage through Alpine valleys and urban centers alike. Morning commuters rely on the long-running Radiowecker show for breaking international news alongside real-time road conditions. Programming centers on current Top 40 singles, chart countdowns, and listener call-in segments like Frag das ganze Land. The network originated in 1967 and maintains a technical presence on 99.9 FM in Vienna, supplemented by regional relays such as 88.2 FM in Schärding and 97.9 FM in Carinthia. Studio operations run out of the federal capital, synchronizing digital streaming feeds with regional FM transmitters. Music scheduling emphasizes European pop releases, domestic Austrian chart entries, and high-rotation chart hits.
