KOKE FM

Austin residents tune in to 99.3 FM and 98.5 FM to hear a sound rooted deeply in Texas country and Americana music. This station prioritizes independent artists who often struggle to find airplay on mainstream commercial outlets, blending red dirt influences with traditional honky-tonk sensibilities. Listeners frequently encounter interviews with touring songwriters and updates on the local performance circuit that define the regional music identity. Programming avoids rigid genre silos, instead highlighting the creative output of the Texas music scene through daily curated sessions and community-focused segments. The website kokefm.com acts as the primary portal for concert calendars and digital archives. By focusing on non-commercial country subgenres and local festival coverage, the station maintains a distinct profile within the competitive Austin audio market.
