La 100

Mid-1980s Argentine democratization unlocked fresh airwaves across Buenos Aires, giving rise to frequency 99.9 FM on August 17, 1985. The outlet established an acoustic balance between contemporary pop, rock nacional, and morning companionship, breaking away from stiff military-era radio conventions.

Weekday routines across the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires integrate news updates, lifestyle segments, and chart-topping Latin hits through morning staple formats. Alongside local traffic reports and weather alerts, the music schedule mixes 1980s and 1990s retro tracks with current international releases. Audiometric ratings by Kantar Ibope Media logged over one million daily listeners across the capital basin.

Beyond the primary urban epicenter, repeater transmitters distribute identical audio programming into regional centers including Mar del Plata, Bahía Blanca, and Santa Rosa. Digital distribution through la100.com.ar pairs live audio feeds with local journalism, horoscopes, and national political summaries.
