Peace FM

Akan-language mass communication transformed commercial radio across southern Ghana during the late 1990s, replacing rigid colonial-era English formats with indigenous speech. Transmitting at 104.3 MHz, the schedule centers on political analysis, traditional highlife music, and community affairs throughout the Greater Accra Region.

Morning programming features in-depth political debate, citizen call-in segments, and bilingual reporting that translates national policy into accessible Akan discourse. Midday hours transition toward midday bulletins, obituary announcements, and commercial trade discussions vital to regional market traders. Late afternoons emphasize contemporary Ghanaian hiplife, gospel records, and evening sports roundups anchored by seasoned local journalists.

Digital distribution via peacefmonline.com expanded the broadcast footprint to the worldwide Ghanaian diaspora, providing live streams and election tracking portals. Field reporters stationed across regional capitals deliver continuous coverage of parliamentary hearings and district assemblies directly to urban commuters.
