Radio 105

Founded on February 16, 1976, by Alberto and Edoardo Hazan under the name Radio Studio 105, this Milanese venture emerged during the deregulation era of Italian private radio. Early transmissions utilized the 105.560 MHz frequency to distribute energetic audio formats across Lombardy, presenting an American-style commercial alternative to state broadcasting monopolies.

Over subsequent decades, transmission infrastructure expanded across the Italian peninsula. The schedule features talk formats and satirical staples, anchored by programs such as Lo Zoo di 105, Tutto Esaurito, and 105 Music & Cars. Musical output prioritizes contemporary hit radio, electronic dance tracks, and domestic pop releases. Listeners access regional signals via terrestrial repeaters including 99.1 FM in Milan, 96.1 FM in Rome, and 103.5 FM in Bologna, supplemented by digital distribution via 105.net.
