Broadcasts originated on February 24, 1982, and the station has since established itself as a cultural fixture within French-speaking Switzerland. Following the discontinuation of FM transmissions on December 31, 2024, the station transitioned exclusively to digital distribution. Listeners can now access programming nationwide via DAB+ and high-fidelity internet streaming, maintaining continuity for its diverse multimedia audience. The studios, which relocated to the EPFL campus in Ecublens during the 2025–2026 period, continue to produce shows that examine contemporary social issues and modern digital culture alongside their music-heavy schedule.
