💡¿Sabías que?

• •WJMR moved its programming and call letters to the 98.3 FM frequency on December 12, 2000, as part of a frequency swap that also involved classical station WFMR.
• •The 98.3 FM frequency has a deep historical root, commencing broadcasts in July 1966 as WZMF, which notably became one of the first stations in the Midwest to feature a freeform progressive rock format by 1968.
• •The station's call letters, WJMR, are specifically designed to stand for "Jammin' R&B," reflecting its core music programming.
• •WJMR's current urban adult contemporary format evolved from an earlier "Jammin' Oldies" trend, which the station initially carried on a different frequency before tweaking its sound to target an older demographic.
