The chosen location is the Serra da Bocaina National Park region, this area is characterized by a large altitudinal gradient, ranging from areas located at sea level (Trindade, Paraty region), to the mountainous part, with altitudes above 2,000 meters in São José do Barreiro. This altitude gradient, determined by geomorphological aspects, directly affects the physical (climate, hydrography) and biotic (vegetation, flora and fauna) attributes of the region, generating diverse landscapes and ecosystems
