Council elections are held every four years on the fourth Saturday in October.<br />The next Mornington Peninsula Shire Council elections will be held Saturday, 24 October 2020. <br />Given the COVID restrictions the 2020 elections will be conducted entirely by postal vote.<br />Voting packs will be mailed out at the beginning of October with all the details on how to vote.<br />Candidates will have very little opportunity to personally campaign relying on social media and outdoor advertising and pamphlets.<br />Sorrento News offered the 7 candidates vying for the 2 seats in the Nepean Ward the opportunity to record a podcast where they could talk about why they should be voted in.<br />All candidates were invited to get in touch for an interview.<br /><br />Mornington Peninsula Shire Council is divided into Six Wards with a total of Eleven Councillors.
