Afyon Gün FM

Established in 1995 during Turkey's transformative era of independent regional radio expansion, this Afyonkarahisar outlet rooted itself in municipal journalism and regional folk heritage. Terrestrial coverage reaches households throughout the central Aegean-Anatolian transition zone over 99.9 FM, pairing rural musical traditions with immediate public bulletins.

The audio roster highlights classical Turkish folk music (türkü), featuring bağlama arrangements, regional ozan poetry, and localized oral histories. Alongside musical transmissions, the newsroom produces regular regional coverage focusing on civic announcements from the Afyonkarahisar Governorship, administrative developments at Afyon Kocatepe University, and agricultural sector updates. Talk segments address local security matters, civic updates, and educational initiatives across provincial districts. The station maintains direct public interaction through digital messaging channels and continuous news coverage on gunfm.net.
