Pop rock selections and current European chart hits emerged across central German airwaves at the start of the millennium to engage adult listeners aged 20 to 49. Daily production centers on interactive studio segments, anchored during dawn hours by the Guten Morgen Familie team and throughout afternoons with regional participatory features like Macher. Sunday evening schedules introduce curated domestic releases through Made in Germany, presenting recorded artist interviews alongside independent newcomer tracks. Beyond traditional FM transmitters in urban centers such as Leipzig and hilltop relays atop the Brocken, listeners receive digital audio signals via DAB+ block 6B in Saxony-Anhalt, block 8B in Thuringia, and block 9A in Saxony. Digital extensions feature localized spoken-word podcasts such as Die schönsten Krisen and regular investigative comedy shorts like Fakt oder Fake. Studio staff coordinate real-time highway monitoring systems, relaying congestion reports across interstate routes traversing Saxony, Thuringia, and Saxony-Anhalt.
